Product description

My Picture Book of Ships ("Golden Picture Books" series, c.1920s) - vintage hardback

A lovely example of a c.1920s vintage children's factual book from the "Golden Picture Books" series, with numerous illustrations (including two colour plates, showing the White Star liner the "Majestic" and the Cunard liner the "Aquitania" respectively), in which passenger liners, cargo vessels, sailing ships, lifeboats etc. are described in a series of imaginary family conversations.

Although this original vintage volume shows various signs of age (see condition description below), it nonetheless remains complete and fully legible - and as such would make a pleasing addition to a collection of vintage children's books or of nautical / maritime memorabilia.
