Product description

How Money Has Developed - Arthur Groom (The HOW Series, 1958) - vintage information book

A vintage information book - one of a series published in the 1950s - on the subject of financial history, intended for children and young people. "Money is a subject that for some unaccountable reason has usually been left out of the school curriculum ... This book, written by a former bank official and a very well-known writer for young people, attempts to correct this omission." This ex-library copy retains its original pictorial dustjacket, which is very typical of its era in style and design.

Whilst it shows various assorted signs of age (see condition description below), it remains complete (except for the rear endpaper) and fully legible throughout - and would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage books, a period room setting, or a display of coins or banknotes!
