Product description

Davidson vintage blue cloud glass flower bowl with plinth - 1910 pattern, 7 inch

A vintage George Davidson of Gateshead blue cloud glass 1910 pattern flower bowl with plinth (there would originally have also been a flower block or "frog"), dating from c.1925-34. The bowl measures approximately 17.6cm (6.95in) in diameter and 5.4cm (2.15in) in height, whilst the plinth, which is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" in faint raised letters to the underside, measures approximately 13.6cm (5.35in) in diameter and 3.1cm (1.2in) deep.

There are a few nibbles to the edges of the plinth and another to the outside of the bowl, whilst there is some surface marking and wear including scratching and abrasion; there are some manufacturing irregularities including unevenness to the surface, air bubbles in the glass, an unpolished patch to the otherwise polished exterior of the plinth, and some roughness to the edges of the plinth.
