Product description

Davidson vintage amber cloud glass flower bowl with plinth - 1910 pattern, 8 inch

A vintage George Davidson of Gateshead amber cloud glass 1910 pattern flower bowl with plinth, dating from c.1925-42, which would originally have been sold with a matching domed flower block or "frog". The bowl measures approximately 20.3cm (8in) in diameter and 6.6cm (2.6in) in height; the plinth, which is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" in very faint raised letters to the underside, measures approximately 16.5cm (6.5in) across and 4.1cm (1.6in) in height.

The plinth has a large shallow chip to the underside edge together with some nibbles, whilst the bowl has one or two tiny nibbles to the exterior; both pieces have some age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface, together with manufacturing irregularities including roughness to some edges, unevenness to the surface and air bubbles in the glass.
