"Windsor Castle from G.W. Railway" souvenir china shaving mug, c.1900-20

A souvenir china shaving mug, c.1900-20, moulded in a fancy shape, in brown, golden brown, green and yellow-white finish with coloured transfer scene entitled "WINDSOR CASTLE, FROM. G.W. RAILWAY" (i.e. GWR, the Great Western Railway) to one side.  The mug measures approximately 10.8cm (4.25in) in height, 8.5cm (3.35in) in diameter at the top, and 14.5cm (5.7in) across from handle to spout; the base is marked with the impressed number "985" and the printed number "34".  There are a few small surface chips to the lower exterior together with a tiny nibble to the upper rim and one or two more to the foot, besides some age wear to the surface and marking to the foot; there are various manufacturing imperfections including spot marks in the glaze and a short fault line to the lower exterior near the handle.
