A vintage pressed glass Wills's Capstan cigarette advertising ashtray, c.1930s-50s, measuring approximately 12.6cm (4.95in) in diameter at the base, 9.9cm (3.9in) in diameter at the top and 3.6cm (1.4in) in depth, with the words "WILLS'S CAPSTAN" transfer printed twice in blue to the outer surface. There is some roughness and slight nibbling to the inner underside edge, together with some age wear to the foot, fading / wear to the transfers, occasional scratches and some minor manufacturing irregularities in the glass.
