W. M. Smart, "Astronomical Navigation: A Handbook for Aviators" (London etc., Longmans, Green and Co; originally published 1942, 2nd impression July 1944).  Pictorial board covers, 120pp, measuring approximately 14.3 x 22.3 x 0.8cm (5.65 x 8.8 x 0.3in).  The cover is worn, marked, discoloured and bumped to the edges and corners, and the spine has lost its paper surface (a portion of which remains inside the book); the pages (which are of wartime economy paper) have yellowed with age, and there is some foxing to the page edges as well as the occasional crease.
