A c.1920s-30s vintage eight-sided pendant lampshade / light shade, in marbled glass with large white flakestones, clear veins, deep pink marbling and matt surface, measuring approximately 14.2cm (5.6in) in height and 16.5cm (6.5in) across at the base. The lampholder hole is of standard size for this type of shade (about 3cm / 1.2in in diameter), and thus the shade should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. There is some internal bruising and chipping as well as the usual nibbling / roughness around the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung), together with some scratches, scuffs and slight marks to the surface; there are various manufacturing imperfections including numerous air bubbles (some quite large) and an irregular pattern of thin diagonal lines in the glass.
