Vintage salmon pink glass pendant lampshade with gilt banding and textured lower section, c.1940s

A nice example of a 1940s or early 1950s vintage glass pendant lampshade / light shade, measuring approximately 12.5cm (4.9in) tall and 14cm (5.5in) in diameter, the upper two thirds in opaque salmon pink with gilt bands, the bottom portion being colourless, textured on the inside.  The lampholder hole is of standard size (approximately 3cm / 1.2in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit an ordinary UK plastic pendant lampholder.  There are some minor manufacturing irregularities in the glass; there is some wear to the gilding, together with the usual nibbling around the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung) and some surface marking including a few specks of paint and some light orange-brown stains to the interior.
