A c.1960s-70s vintage retro bottle-shaped pottery vase with a deep moulded abstract pattern to the front and back, measuring approximately 21.3 x 10.5 x 7.2cm / 8.4 x 4.15 x 2.85in (max), in shiny sand-coloured, green and brown glaze (the sand glaze being speckled with a lightly pitted texture) with the red clay of the body visible to the foot and elsewhere; there are no identifying marks, although the piece is comparable in style to the increasingly collectable West German pottery of the era. There is some age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface and marking to the foot, and some slight crazing is visible to the moulded patterned areas; there are some minor manufacturing imperfections including two or three small unglazed areas within the moulded pattern to one side, and some tiny pinholes in the sand glaze (albeit not readily visible amidst the speckling and texture).
