Vintage pottery jug vase with abstract fish design, c.1950s

A c.1950s pottery jug vase, measuring approximately 23.5cm (9.25in) in height and 9.2cm (3.6in) in diameter, in off-white satin glaze with pale grey horizontal linear background pattern and handpainted abstract design resembling fish and aquatic plants, with shiny bluish-grey-green glaze to the interior; the base bears the impressed code number "482 / 23", and is stamped "FOREIGN".  Apart from slight marking to the exterior, age wear to the foot, and some crazing to the interior glaze visible near the opening, the vase is in good condition.
