Vintage orange and white flakestone glass octagonal pendant lampshade, c.1920s-30s (SOLD)

A c.1920s-30s vintage eight-sided pendant lampshade / light shade, in orange and white flakestone glass (there are a couple of stray yellow flakes), measuring approximately 14cm (5.5in) in height and 15.7cm (6.2in) across at the base.  The lampholder hole is very slightly smaller than standard size for this type of shade (about 2.8cm / 1.1in in diameter), and thus the shade may or may not be found to fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder (some very careful filing to the edges of the hole may therefore be needed).  There is some slight chipping and nibbling to the edges of the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung), together with a tiny fleabite to the exterior surface and some marking, scratching and scuffing to the surface, whilst the glass contains numerous small air bubbles.
