Vintage "Library" double-sided enamel sign ("In connection with the I.B.C. Library"), c.1930s-50s

An original c.1930s-50s vintage double-sided "Library" enamel sign with rounded corners and twin hanging holes at the top, measuring approximately 58.5 x 28cm (23 x 11in), in deep blue and white with the word "LIBRARY" in large white letters and the words "IN CONNECTION WITH / THE I.B.C. LIBRARY" above and below; we have thus far been unable to discover what "I.B.C." stands for.  Both sides of the sign have large areas of surface chipping plus some smaller surface and edge chips, patches of crazing, rust (including rusting to edges), and weathering and clouding to the enamel (one side being rather more weathered and clouded than the other), together with numerous scratches, scuffs and marks.
