A pair of c.1950s vintage novelty animal-shaped perfume bottles (one in the form of a reindeer, the other in the shape of a horse), in clear glass with gold paint to detail and wooden stoppers finished in silver paint, each bearing a gilt paper label marked "Jasmin / GERMANY"; the reindeer measures approximately 6.3 x 6.7 x 2.3cm (2.5 x 2.65 x 0.9in), the horse 9.5 x 6.4 x 2.4cm (3.75 x 2.5 x 0.95in) (both measurements overall maximums). The deer has been opened and is empty apart from some dried residue; the horse is still sealed and retains roughly three fifths of the original contents (the rest having evaporated over time). There is some wear to the gold and silver paint (which has probably darkened with age), wear and discoloration to the labels and slight surface wear to the glass of both bottles, whilst there is some clouding to the inside of the reindeer; however, there is no cracking, chipping or breakage to the glass of either bottle. The bottles come with the lid or base of an old box which we presume to be original, together with some old internal packing material; this box is very much worn, marked, discoloured and faded.
