Vintage cardboard spectacles box (A. Hawes & Son, Opticians, London) with lenses, c.1910s-20s

A c.1910s-20s vintage spectacles box, in sturdy cardboard with metal reinforcements to corners, from A. Hawes & Son, Opticians, 79, Leadenhall Street, E.C., London, England.  The box, which measures approximately 14.5 x 5.8 x 2.3cm (5.7 x 2.3 x 0.9in), no longer contains any spectacles, but does hold four round spectacle lenses, each approximately 3.8cm (1.5in) in diameter but of varying thickness, with two small paper envelopes printed "Old Lenses from Order No."  There is some age wear to the box including bumping to edges and corners, discoloration and marking together with tarnish and some rust to the reinforcements; there is slight surface wear together with some marks to the lenses, two of which have slight nibbling to the edges; the envelopes are very much worn with tearing, creasing, marking and discoloration.
