Vintage biscuit / confectionery tin (blue, gold and cream with flowers), c.1950s-60s

A c.1950s-60s vintage biscuit or confectionery tin (empty) with hinged lid and shaped sides, with printed design to the exterior in dark blue, gold and cream with colourful floral panels, measuring approximately 17.4 x 12 x 7.5cm / 6.85 x 4.7 x 2.95in (max); the edge of the lid is marked "6 MB".  There is an old silver paper "FIRST AID" label stuck to the front side of the tin (which we have not attempted to remove, as to do so may damage the printed surface); there is considerable age wear to the exterior (especially to the lid) including scratching and scuffing to the surface and tarnish to the gilt, and the interior and base are likewise worn and much tarnished, the former with slight rust spotting; the vertical join in the metal to the left of the back side panel of the tin has a tendency to come loose, although it can still hold together, and the lid fits quite well; the lid is rather battered and misshapen, and there are a few other dents and dings to the remainder of the tin.
