Vintage Alf Cooke (for Woolworths) "glamour girl" playing cards, c.1960

A vintage (c.1960) pack of "De Luxe Pictorial Fabric Finish" standard size playing cards (complete set with two Jokers), by Alf Cooke Limited (Universal Playing Card Co, Leeds and London), "manufactured specially for F.W. Woolworth & Co. Limited", with colour picture of a "glamour girl" with black hair and pink ostrich feather costume to the reverse; the original box, which measures approximately 6.1 x 9.2 x 2cm (2.4 x 3.6 x 0.8in), has a sample card glued to one side.  There is some yellowing, marking, creasing and general wear to the cards; the box shows a similar degree of wear, with tearing to the top edge and a missing inner tab.
