A Victorian oval ceramic jelly mould with ribbed sides and large oval indentation to the top, finished in white glaze, and measuring approximately 9.3cm (3.65in) in height and 18.6 x 14.9cm (7.3 x 5.85in) externally at the base; to one side of the exterior is a small applied tablet embossed "7 IN / COMFIT / 1 1/4 PINT". The upper edge has a short hairline crack, some chipping, marking and age wear, whilst the lower edge has some age wear with a small chip and some roughness / nibbling to the outer edge; there is some surface wear including scratching to the internal and external surfaces; there are various manufacturing imperfections including small lumps, pinholes and spot marks in the glaze.
