Victorian fairing, bedroom scene - "The last in bed to put out the light"

A late Victorian ceramic fairing, c.1880-1900, portraying a bedroom scene, with the caption "The last in bed to put out the light".  The fairing stands approximately 8cm (3.15in) tall, whilst the base measures approximately 8.4 x 5cm (3.3 x 1.95in).  The candlestick at the front of the model would have originally held a candle, which has long since broken off; one of the top corners of the bed canopy has been slightly nibbled, and there is slight loss to the painted decoration.  Unsurprisingly, in view of the fact that ornaments of this nature were cheaply made and given as prizes at fairs, there are various manufacturing irregularities and imperfections, together with occasional cracks in the glaze.
