A Victorian ceramic jelly mould, oval in shape with rabbit motif, finished in off-white glaze and measuring approximately 10.5cm (4.15in) in height and 16.9 x 14.2cm (6.65 x 5.6in) externally at the base; the top of the mould bears the impressed stamp "No 13 / BROWNFIELD & SON" together with another small impressed mark. There is a short hairline crack to the base edge (about 1cm / 0.4in long, visible both inside and out), together with a long horizontal crack in the glaze extending around about half of the circumference of the exterior about one third of the way down, a pair of small shallow chips to the inside lower edge of the moulding, and age wear including numerous scratches (especially to the top); there are also numerous manufacturing imperfections including surface roughness in places (especially the base edge) and many spot marks in the glaze.
