A very old miniature / doll's house pottery jug, standing approximately 3.9cm (1.55in) tall, in marbled brown and yellow clay, glazed all over apart from the base (which has the number "2" written on it in pencil). There are numerous chips to the irregularly-shaped upper edge, together with age wear / marking to the foot and fine crazing throughout; as the darkening of much of the damage to the top shows, it is obviously very old, probably dating from the nineteenth century. (Please note that the UK 50 pence piece which appears in two of the photos is shown only to give an idea of scale, and is not included.)
