Two c.1950s-60s vintage Christmas tree decorations in the form of bunches of grapes. The larger decoration, which measures approximately 14.5cm (5.7in) in overall length, comprises four glass "grapes" in different colours attached to wire stems covered with silver paper, with two silver paper vine leaves attached to the top, where the wire is bent to form a hanging hook; a small piece of paper printed "FOREIGN" is attached above the red grape. The smaller decoration, which measures approximately 8cm (3.15in) in overall length, consists of ten small glass (or possibly transparent plastic) "grapes" with metallic finish in different colours, glued to a bunch of paper-covered wires. The larger decoration has a fifth stem, visible in the photos alongside the gold grape, which would originally have held another grape which has at some stage broken off at the neck (a small remnant of glass, with a not very sharp point, can be seen), whilst the smaller decoration also has a spare wire which suggests that it too may have lost a grape at some stage; both decorations have some age wear to the grapes (including wear to the silvering) and their stems (including discoloration to the paper and/or slight rust to the wires), the leaves of the larger decoration being likewise somewhat tatty and creased.
