A pair of c.1950s vintage boxes of "Adamantine Super Plated Pins" by D. F. Tayler & Co. Ltd., each measuring approximately 10.5 x 6.7 x 1.9cm (4.15 x 2.65 x 0.75in). One box originally held 1/4 lb of 1 inch "standard short whites", the other 1/4lb of 3/4 inch pins; both boxes still hold a large quantity of pins in good condition, although they vary in size and appear to have been used. The boxes themselves are discoloured and marked with age wear including splitting to some lid corners, a few pinpricks, and patches of damage where old price labels have been removed.
