TSL Blow Football set, with blowpipes made from "British Celanese" bobbins, c.1940s (probably WW2)

A c.1940s vintage "Blow Football" set by TSL (Made in England), in the original cardboard box with pictorial lid, containing a pair of wire goalposts with attached card goalkeeper figures together with six cardboard blowpipes (there are no instructions, and the ball is missing).  We believe this set dates from the austerity years of the Second World War or shortly after, as the box is made from very poor quality recycled cardboard, and the blowpipes are evidently made from old thread bobbins, printed with the words "BRITISH CELANESE Ltd" or "CELANESE" in red!  The box, which measures approximately 28.5 x 17.6 x 4.6cm (11.2 x 6.95 x 1.8in), is in a very worn and battered state with much tearing and creasing, staining, marking and discoloration; the goalposts are tarnished with slight rust to the fixings holding the goalkeepers in place, whilst the goalkeepers are worn with bumping and creasing (and delamination to one head); the blowpipes are worn and discoloured, and have obviously been used.  This set is therefore sold as a collectable only, and not for use.
