A c.1960s-70s vintage Toni Raymond Pottery "Crispbread" container, with original wooden lid (with rubber seal), finished in off-white shiny glaze with a handpainted design of crispbread with sliced egg and salad vegetables, with the black printed "TONI RAYMOND POTTERY / ENGLAND" mallard duck stamp together with a painted number "22" to the base. The container measures approximately 15.3 x 14.1 x 13cm (6 x 5.55 x 5.1in) overall including lid and 14 x 12.8cm (5.5 x 5.05in) to the internal base, with the internal diameter of the opening being approximately 12cm (4.7in); unfortunately we cannot guarantee that your favourite brand of crispbread will fit inside, especially as it has to be inserted diagonally! There is crazing to the container throughout with some age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface and marking to the unglazed areas of the base, together with manufacturing irregularities including some small lumps and bumps to the surface and some unevenness and occasional pinholes in the glaze; the lid is worn, marked and discoloured with some loss to the varnish and a couple of slight splits to the edge, although it still fits nicely.
