Three 1930s-40s military photographs, as follows: a group photograph on card mount with card cover (not shown), with "CYRIL E. GANSLER / BISHOP VESEY'S O.T.S" written below in relatively recent ballpoint; a group photograph of "Air Observer / Navigators. Abingdon. October 1940" (contemporary inscription in ink) mounted on card; a portrait photograph of an individual in the same Air Observers' uniform, on card mount. These photos were found with the Sutton Coldfield school sports photos listed separately, and thus it is probable that the Air Observers photos also feature Cyril Gansler. The cover of the O.T.S. photo, which measures approximately 17.7 x 24.7cm (6.95 x 9.7in) excluding mount, is worn, creased and slightly torn, whilst the mount itself is bumped at the corners. The Air Observers group photo has a crease which must have occurred prior to mounting, together with slight surface wear, whilst the mount itself is discoloured; the portrait is slightly marked, and its mount is discoloured and spotted with rough edges.
