Hardcover (blue cloth boards with gilt lettering) with original dustwrapper with applied colour scene to front), 64pp, measuring approximately 22.8 x 28.9 x 1.1cm (9 x 11.4 x 0.45in). This volume contains 59 large black and white photographic views (including the frontispiece), together with a reference map showing their approximate locations. The dustjacket is discoloured and marked with fading to the spine, together with age wear including scuffing, indentations, and bumping, slight tearing and creasing to the edges and corners, and there is a small sticky tape repair to the inside of the lower front edge (the tape has yellowed, but even so cannot be seen from the outside); there is some discoloration and marking to the boards, with fading and slight bumping to the edges and corners; there is considerable marking and discoloration to the inside covers and endpapers, with the front endpaper bearing a blue ballpoint inscription dated 1959; there is slight discoloration to the pages (which have a chalky feel, with some white powder rubbing off the surface) together with moderate reading wear, some marks and the odd slight edge tear.
