Children's picture story book with board covers, approximately 88pp plus colour frontispiece, measuring approximately 20.1 x 25.7 x 1.8cm (7.9 x 10.1 x 0.7in). This book, with front cover design by Yvonne Perrin featuring two children and a puppy on a raft playing "pirates" whilst three children look on from a nearby rock, contains stories by various authors, including "The Onion Man" by Jane Shaw and "The Ugly Gnome" by Enid O'Dare, plus a few other items, together with numerous black and white illustrations. No dustjacket; the board covers are marked with some discoloration together with age wear including scratches, indentations and the odd small patch of damage to the surface, and wear and bumping to the edges and corners; the pages are browned with some marks including pencilling to a few pages (the Join the Dots and Zoo Animal Puzzle have been completed in pencil, whilst the original owner's name has been written in both ink and pencil in the space provided at the front of the book), some smallish creases and tears, and edge and corner wear, whilst some pages are coming loose from the lower spine.
