A small souvenir china beaker, c.1890-1914, with a large hand-coloured transfer scene entitled "The Beach, Lostwithiel" to one side, a deep red-brown finish to the rest of the exterior (except the base) and gilt trim. The beaker, which measures approximately 8.3cm (3.25in) in height and 5.7cm (2.25in) in diameter at the top, bears a red circular printed "Made in / Germany" mark to the base. There is a small shallow chip or large nibble together with a smaller nibble to the outer rim, whilst there is a horizontal crack (about 1.5cm / 0.6in in length) to the interior slightly below the rim, and there is some age wear including scratching and marking to the exterior and slight wear to the gilt; there are some manufacturing imperfections including some roughness (including gilded-over nibbles) to the rim and spot marks in the glaze.
