"The ABC of Cookery", sixth edition (1962), prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Central Office of Information, and published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office. Originally published in 1945, this book was "intended to provide school children, students and the general public with a basic knowledge of cookery methods from which they may develop the skill of an experienced cook". This edition is a spiral-bound volume of 100 pages (excluding card covers), and measures approximately 15.1 x 23.5cm closed (excluding spiral binding). There is general age wear throughout including bumping to edges and corners, creasing, some small marks, and discoloration to page edges.
