T. G. Green "Woodville" kitchen container ("Tea"), c.1970s (SOLD)

A T. G. Green "Woodville" pottery kitchen container ("Tea"), c.1970s, with original cork lid, measuring approximately 10.5cm (4.15in) in height excluding lid and 11.5cm (4.55in) in diameter at the top, in speckled beige and dark brown glaze with the word "Tea" in large black letters to one side; the base bears the circular printed mark with the T. G. Green church emblem and the words "DETERGENT ALKALI & ACID RESISTANT / "WOODVILLE" / T.G. GREEN LTD. / CHURCH / GRESLEY / MADE IN ENGLAND".  There are two nibbles to the rim together with slight chipping and some marking to the foot and slight surface wear including a few small scratches, whilst there are minor manufacturing imperfections; the cork lid is worn and discoloured with age.

Please note that the finish of this container differs from that of the similar "Coffee" container that we have for sale.
