A T. G. Green "Woodville" pottery kitchen container ("Coffee"), c.1970s, with original cork lid, measuring approximately 10.6cm (4.15in) in height excluding lid and 11.6cm (4.55in) in diameter at the top, in speckled beige and dark brown glaze with the word "coffee" in large black letters to one side; the base bears the circular printed mark with the T. G. Green church emblem and the words "DETERGENT ALKALI & ACID RESISTANT / "WOODVILLE" / T.G. GREEN LTD. / CHURCH / GRESLEY / MADE IN ENGLAND", together with another small mark. There is a tiny nibble to the rim and another to the base edge, together with a few craze lines to the outside below the rim, marking to the foot and the odd light scratch, whilst there are minor manufacturing imperfections; the cork lid is worn and discoloured with age.
Please note that the finish of this container differs from that of the similar "Tea" container that we also have for sale.
