A small vintage SylvaC vase in the shape of a tree trunk, in shiny dark greenish-brown glaze, with a squirrel figure in shiny orangey-reddish-brown glaze attached to the front; the base is impressed "4233 / SYLVAC / MADE IN / ENGLAND". The vase measures approximately 11cm (4.35in) in height, and 9 x 6.1cm (3.55 x 2.4in) at the base; the squirrel stands approximately 5.7cm (2.25in) high. There is some crazing throughout, together with marking to the foot, and a couple of fleabites or tiny chips to the outer foot (which, as the green-brown glaze runs into them slightly, appear to date from manufacture); it is otherwise in good condition.
