"St. Austell Parish Church - Cornish Church Poems" (printed by H. E. Warne Ltd, St. Austell; n.d., c.1965). Booklet, 8 pages plus paper covers, measuring approximately 18.5 x 24.8cm (7.3 x 9.75in), containing seven poems (including two by Charles Causley) with accompanying notes; the front cover reproduces an 1830 engraving of the Church tower from Fore Street, whilst the back cover shows a contemporary view from a similar standpoint. "We have here gathered a sheaf of poems for a Cornish Church, an offering for the summer Flower Festival at St. Austell." Although the date of the Festival is not given, it was presumably 1965, as the list of Vicars of St. Austell notes that the last-named incumbent (Barrington H. Wainwright, M.A.) ceased to be Vicar on April 6 of that year, and as the compiler notes that "the pictures only cover 135 years". The cover is very much discoloured and marked with edge and general wear, and the fold has split along roughly two thirds of its length; there is some discoloration to the pages with some marks and general wear, and there is slight rust to the staples.
