Sowerby "Hobstar and Cut Triangles" English amber carnival glass bowl

 

An English carnival glass bowl by Sowerby of Gateshead, c.1920s-30s, in "Hobstar and Cut Triangles" pattern (pattern no. 2411), with moulded design forming a six-pointed star with central starburst to the exterior and rayed interior, in amber glass with a fair amount of iridescence, measuring approximately 16.6cm (6.55in) in diameter and 4.6cm (1.8in) in height.  There is some age wear including scratches to the surface and nibbles to the base; there are some manufacturing imperfections including a few air bubbles and some unevenness to the surface.
