A c.1930s oval moulded green glass bowl in a typically Art Deco chevron design, by Sowerby of Gateshead (pattern 2631), measuring approximately 30.3cm (11.95in) long, 17.6cm (6.95in) wide and 7.7cm (3.05in) deep. There are various manufacturing irregularities including a pattern of uneven wavy lines within the glass in places together with a more pronounced line to one side (these can be felt on the outside) and numerous small air bubbles. There is some nibbling and age wear to the feet, together with a few tiny nibbles / rough spots to the upper edges; there is considerable scratching / surface wear from age and use, especially to the interior.
