A c.1930s moulded clear (colourless) glass oval serving bowl in a typically Art Deco chevron design, by Sowerby of Gateshead (pattern 2631), measuring approximately 30.2cm (11.9in) long, 17.4cm (6.85in) wide and 7.4cm (2.9in) deep.  There are various manufacturing irregularities including a pattern of uneven wavy lines within the glass around the lower half (which can be felt on the outside) plus a heavier line to the base (which can be felt on the inside), some manufacturing roughness to the inner edges and several tiny air bubbles.  There is some nibbling, slight chipping and considerable age wear to the feet, together with slight roughness and some tiny nibbles to some outer edges, occasional tiny rough spots, and considerable scratching / age wear to the surface.
