An amber glass square-footed sundae dish in a distinctively Art Deco chevron pattern, by Sowerby of Gateshead (pattern 2631), measuring approximately 11.6cm (4.55in) in diameter, 7.7cm (3.05in) in height and 6.4 x 6.3cm (2.5 x 2.5in) at the base. There are various manufacturing irregularities in the glass including lines and small air bubbles, and the base is somewhat roughly moulded; there is a small chip to one corner of the base together with slight nibbling to the base edges and some small chips and nibbles to the external edges, together with age wear including numerous scratches to the surface.
