Sowerby amber glass round serving bowl in Art Deco chevron design (pattern 2631), c.1930s
A c.1930s vintage clear amber moulded glass round serving bowl in a typically Art Deco chevron design, by Sowerby of Gateshead (pattern 2631), measuring approximately 21.4cm (8.45in) in diameter and 8.5cm (3.35in) in height. There are various manufacturing irregularities including a pattern of faint lines around the base, two large burst bubble indentations (which look like large smooth chips) to the exterior, and several small air bubbles; there is some chipping, nibbling and age wear to the feet, together with some roughness / nibbling to the outer edges and angles and a few tiny nibbles and rough spots to the rim, whilst there is some age wear including numerous (mostly light) scratches to the surface.
