A c.1930s moulded amber glass oval serving bowl in a typically Art Deco chevron design, by Sowerby of Gateshead (pattern 2631), measuring approximately 30.8cm (12.15in) long, 17.6cm (6.95in) wide and 8cm (3.15in) deep. There are various manufacturing irregularities including some faint uneven wavy lines within the glass to parts of the lower half together with some heavier lines (which can be felt on the outside) and several small air bubbles; there is some nibbling, chipping and age wear to the feet together a small chip to the outer rim, some slight roughness and tiny nibbles to some of the outer edges, a small rough spot to the interior base, and age wear including numerous light surface scratches.
