"Smeeth, Culloden Dairy Farm, Camelford" half-pint milk bottle, c.1950s (SOLD)

A c.1950s vintage half-pint milk bottle, transfer-printed "SMEETH / CULLODEN DAIRY FARM / CAMELFORD" (Cornwall), with the original aluminium (or other metal) cap which is embossed with the details of the same business; the bottle measures approximately 16.3cm (6.4in) in height and 6.5cm (2.55in) in diameter at the base.  There is a fair amount of general wear to the bottle, including scratching, marking and nibbling to the base edge; the transfer is likewise worn, whilst the cap is damaged and worn with small tears and holes.  The edge of the bottle opening under the cap has a large indent, together with at least one smaller (see photo); this suggests chipping, although, the cap being fragile, we have not attempted to remove it to see!
