Sir Thomas Lipton "Traditional Darjeeling Blend" tea tin, c.1980s

A c.1980s "Sir Thomas Lipton selected teas - Traditional Darjeeling Blend" octagonal tea tin (empty), measuring approximately 11 x 9.2 x 9.8cm (4.35 x 3.6 x 3.85in), with metallic purple, gold and white printed design to the sides and gold finish to the lid and base, and retaining the remains of the original gold paper seals.  There are several dents and dings; there is considerable wear to the exterior including scratching, corrosion, tarnish and slight print loss, and considerable tarnish and slight rust to the interior.
