Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II commemorative pottery pomander, 1977

A commemorative pottery pomander, produced to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, 1952-1977, in shiny yellowish-green glaze with colour transfer decoration incorporating a sepia portrait of the Queen, measuring approximately 7.6cm (3in) in diameter and 4.8cm (1.9in) deep; there are no maker's marks.  The original rear label is missing; the original cloth scent sachet is still present and retains some scent (as does the inside of the pomander), but is in very worn and leaky condition; the original gilt string hanging cord is likewise very worn.  The pomander itself is crazed in places with some scratching, abrasion and marking to the surface and slight wear / imperfections to the transfer; there are minor manufacturing irregularities to the exterior, whilst the moulding to the interior is very lumpy (although this hardly matters!).
