A Shogun Japanese porcelain cylindrical vase, perhaps 1970s, measuring approximately 24.8cm (9.75in) in height and 10cm (3.95in) in diameter, in lightly textured shiny beige glaze with large colour transfer and gilt Samurai battle scene (with two horses) and gilt rim; the base bears a green and red transfer mark with the words "SHOGUN / JAPAN", a circular symbol and two Japanese characters. The glaze is finely crazed throughout; there is slight scratching and abrasion with occasional marks to the surface together with slight wear to the transfers, considerable wear to the gilt rim, and some marking to the foot; there are some lumps together with the odd pinhole to the interior.
