Set of four vintage transparent plastic egg cups by Synthene Plastics, Bradford, c.1950

A set of four vintage egg cups in clear transparent Perspex (or similar plastic), c.1950, each measuring approximately 4.2cm (1.65in) tall, 5cm (1.95in) in diameter at the base and 4.3cm (1.7in) in internal diameter at the top; to the base of each is a rather worn gold and black transfer mark which reads "Synthene / BRADFORD / PLASTICS".  Each cup is moulded in two sections, joined together with glue which can be seen through the plastic; all four cups have some age wear including scratching, one being especially scuffed and clouded in places, and another having some roughness and slight nibbling to the outer rim and base edges.
