Hardcover (blue cloth boards), 160pp plus numerous black and white photographic illustrations, measuring approximately 10.5 x 15.1 x 2.5cm (4.15 x 5.95 x 1in). No dustjacket; the cover has slight discoloration and marking to the boards with slight corner wear, whilst there is considerable discoloration and perhaps some fading to the spine; the inside covers and flyleaves (printed with a "Calendar for Readers who Intend to go Abroad", suggesting the most suitable months for visiting the various places covered by the "Things Seen Series") are discoloured with foxing (the latter mainly to the flyleaves); the pages are discoloured with slight tanning to the top edges, some foxing to edges, varying degrees of light brown marking, and slight edge and corner wear, whilst the first (blank) page bears the original owner's name in ink.
