"Russian Violets Bouquet Sachet" by Breidenbach & Co, London, c.1920s (SOLD)

This c.1920s "Russian Violets Bouquet Sachet", manufactured by Breidenbach & Co., London, measures approximately 9.6 x 6.1cm (3.8 x 2.4in), and is printed on both sides with an attractive violet, green and gold design, with prices for "Russian Violets Perfume" to the reverse.  It still smells very slightly, perhaps of the original scent, although we cannot be certain of this!  It has, however, been opened, and has split along the top and bottom edges; there is considerable creasing and slight staining, particularly to the reverse, and there are holes in the thin internal paper sachet.  It nevertheless retains its appeal as a displayable collector's item.
