"Russian Review 2" (London and New York, Penguin Books Ltd., March 1946).  Softcover, 144pp, measuring approximately 13.4 x 20.4 x 0.6cm (5.3 x 8.05 x 0.25in).  "The purpose of this Review, which dedicates itself to the general reader, is nothing less than to contribute to the initiation of the stranger to Russia into the spirit of the Russian people as it is embodied in their history and literature, their arts and sciences, their philosophy, their aspiration, and their economic life."  Contains nine articles, by Walt Whitman, Edwin Evans, Alexis Tolstoi and others, on topics concerning Russia; the longest article, "First Contact With Poland" by Alexander Werth, describes the effects of the recent Nazi German occupation of that country.  No dustjacket; the cover is marked and discoloured with creasing to the spine, fading to the spine and adjacent areas, and wear and bumping to edges and corners; the pages are slightly discoloured with foxing to the first few pages and to the page edges, together with occasional creases, occasional marks including large brown stains to a couple of pages, and slight edge and corner wear.
