Booklet (28pp including paper covers), measuring approximately 18.5 x 24.7cm (7.3 x 9.7in). This booklet, which would be a very useful source of inspiration to anyone wishing to produce their own handmade rugs to suit a vintage style decorative scheme, contains "A complete guide for rugmakers including designs in Patons Turkey Rug Wool and Patons Pastella", with charts for fifteen rug designs and two simple designs for "stair and body carpets", plus illustrations of other rug designs which were then produced by P&B as stencilled canvases; some of these designs are traditional, whilst others reflect the transition from 1930s-40s Art Deco to 1950s contemporary styles. The cover is marked, discoloured and creased with age wear including bumping and slight tearing to edges and corners, whilst the pages are likewise worn, marked, discoloured and creased with some bumping and tears to the edges together with occasional pencil annotations; there is slight rust to the staples.
