Robert Ryder, "Coverplan" (London, Allan Wingate, 1953).  Hardcover (blue cloth boards), 260pp, measuring approximately 13.3 x 19 x 2.4cm (5.25 x 7.5 x 0.95in); the inside covers / endpapers are printed with a reproduction of Admiralty Chart No. 1975 (which shows the area north and east of Wallasea and Foulness Islands).  A story narrated by an officer of the Naval Intelligence Division, involving smugglers, set in the late 1940s or early 1950s; the author served in the Royal Navy from 1926-50, being promoted to the rank of Captain in 1949.  No dustjacket; the cover is faded to the edges and spine with discoloration, slight marking and slight wear including bumping to edges and corners; the pages are discoloured with occasional small nicks / bumps to edges and occasional slight marks.
